Godalming Town Ladies 3-0 Guildford Saints

After last weeks defeat we needed a result to stay in the hunt for honours at the end of the season. It was difficult to play a side with 11 players behind the ball but the early break through from Louise Skerry should have forced Guildford out but they were happy to defend.

With players getting frustrated and tempers starting to show Godalming got to half time with a slender lead. At half time a change of formation and personnel gave us a more attacking power and the second goal came from Amanda Hollaway. This was followed shortly afterwards by a spectacular free kick from Skerry which sealed the points. This was not vintage Godalming but I will take the 3 points and look forward to a tough game at home to Mersthram next week.
