After a really bright start Godalming had total control for 20 minutes with at least three very good chances but failed to score and a fluke break away left Town 1-0 down. But from the kick off we kept the pressure on Epsom and got the deserved equaliser 10 minutes later from Louise Skerry. The score was level at 1-1 at half time.

We tried to keep the momentum but Epsom found some form and the game could have gone either way and with
a strike of luck a rebound let in the Epsom number 9 to score. Godalming responded well and made the home keeper make some good saves after making the switch to three at the back to allow more firepower up front.

Epsom got their second lucky break when they were awarded a dubious free kick which missed every player in the box and left our keeper unsighted to make it 3-1. You have accepted some days it is not your day and today was not ours. We could have scored ten today but it was not to be.
